Privacy policy
Last updated: August 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Maresi LLC, trading as Maresi Jewelry ("Maresi", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit maresijewelry.com, shop with us, create an account, contact us, subscribe to marketing, or otherwise use our services (the "Services").
Maresi LLC is the controller of personal information described in this policy except where another party, such as Shopify or a payment provider, acts as a separate controller under its own privacy notice.
Personal information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with the Services and may include:
- Contact and order information: name, email address, telephone number, billing and shipping addresses, products ordered, delivery information, and order history.
- Account information: login credentials, account preferences, saved details, and information you choose to add to your account.
- Payment and transaction information: payment method, payment status, transaction details, refunds, and related records. Complete payment card details are generally processed by Shopify or our payment providers rather than stored directly by Maresi.
- Communications: messages, reviews, survey responses, customer-support requests, and other information you send us.
- Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, identifiers, network connection, general location, referring pages, pages and products viewed, searches, cart activity, interactions, and timestamps.
- Marketing and preference information: email or SMS subscriptions, consent records, cookie choices, advertising preferences, and responses to campaigns.
- Information from partners: information received from Shopify, payment providers, delivery providers, fraud-prevention services, analytics providers, advertising partners, and social platforms when permitted by law.
How we collect information
We collect personal information directly from you, automatically through cookies and similar technologies, and from service providers or partners that help us operate the Services. If you use our GSC Keyword Tool, the separate Google API Data Privacy Policy also applies.
How and why we use personal information
We use personal information for the following purposes:
- To provide the Services, process payments, fulfill and deliver orders, manage returns, and maintain customer accounts.
- To answer questions, provide customer support, and communicate about orders or the Services.
- To prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents, and other harmful or unlawful activity.
- To operate, troubleshoot, analyze, and improve our website, products, advertising, and customer experience.
- To send marketing communications and personalize content or advertising where permitted by law.
- To comply with legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, and contractual obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.
Where laws such as the GDPR require a legal basis, we rely as appropriate on performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests or those of another party, and your consent. Our legitimate interests include operating and securing the Services, preventing fraud, improving our business, and marketing our products, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights. You may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
Cookies and similar technologies
We and our partners, including Shopify, use cookies and similar technologies to operate the store, remember preferences, understand use of the Services, personalize your experience, measure performance, prevent fraud, and show advertising. Where required, we do not use non-essential cookies for analytics, personalization, or advertising unless you consent.
You can manage available choices through the cookie banner's Manage preferences option or the Cookie Settings link in our footer, as well as through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some features. Where applicable, you can also use our Your Privacy Choices page to submit a data-sharing opt-out. Shopify-specific privacy choices are available at privacy.shopify.com.
How we disclose personal information
We may disclose personal information to:
- Shopify: our store is hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information to provide its platform and related services, including features that help protect, improve, personalize, and market the Services.
- Service providers: payment processors, delivery and fulfillment providers, customer-support tools, hosting and technology providers, analytics providers, fraud-prevention services, and professional advisers.
- Advertising and social partners: partners we enable for measurement or advertising, subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements.
- Authorities and legal recipients: courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other parties when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transaction recipients: parties involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, insolvency, or similar business transaction.
Information submitted to the Services is shared with Shopify and may be shared with service providers located in countries other than your own. Review the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy for details about Shopify's processing and privacy rights.
Pinterest integration
We use Pinterest's Shopify integration to synchronize our product catalog and measure Pinterest marketing. Where permitted by law and your consent choices, Pinterest technologies may receive device and browser information, IP address, pages or products viewed, cart activity, and purchase events. Pinterest processes personal information under its Privacy Policy.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Retention periods depend on factors including our relationship with you, whether your account remains active, order and transaction record requirements, legal or tax obligations, dispute-resolution needs, security and fraud prevention, and applicable limitation periods. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer required, subject to lawful backup and record-retention practices.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No security method or internet transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information through unsecured channels.
